TV-out on an Apple Macbook i810 945GM

I am unable to get TV-out on my Macbook working under xorg 7.1.0, i810
1.6.5(Debian sid), and haven't found any information on the matter.  I
have tried
several xorg.conf setups, but am invariably presented with:

(II) I810(0): Display Info: CRT: attached: TRUE, present: TRUE, size:
(720,400)
(II) I810(0): Display Info: TV: attached: FALSE, present: TRUE, size:
(1024,768)
(II) I810(0): Display Info: DFP (digital flat panel): attached: TRUE,

(II) I810(0): Display Info: LFP (local flat panel): attached: TRUE, present:
TRUE, size: (1280,800)
(II) I810(0): Display Info: Second (second CRT): attached: FALSE, present:
FALSE, size: (0,3343)
(II) I810(0): Display Info: TV2 (second TV): attached: FALSE, present:
FALSE, size: (0,3343)

Are there any known solutions?  Is there something that I'm likely missing?
