Finding modal dialogs

BTW, the dialog window I've to check does not belong to my application. My software queries the window on the screen and have to find out if a window is disabled or not. One of the cases where a window can be disabled is when a modal dialog is open. I'm looking for any properties or conditions which differentiate the transient windows as modal or modeless.
Thanks,
Suma.

Hi All,
I need to fnd out if a dialog (or window) is modal or modeless using Xlib APIs. What can I use to differentiate between modal and modeless?
I found few topics which mention about override_redirect and WM_TRANSIENT_FOR properties. But, when I read the properties of dialog windows, they don't match with the usage of override_redirect.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Suma.
