Is progress being made on xrandr rotated display performance?

In https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=10843 I have been 
raising this issue along
with a lot of other rotation bugs that have now been fixed. I suspect 
that it would be a
good idea to open a new bug to track the 945 high CPU load issue rather 
then lose it
in 10843.

Like you I'm very interested in seeing a fix for this problem. Its not 
fixed in git
yet.

What I see is Xorg use 99% CPU when  I'm playing a movie with xine.
The modesetting branch from september 2006 every thing took 30% on the
same hardware.
