So it's a bug in keyboard driver?

The only "workaround" I found is the following (I use KDE):
1) I start X
2) I can't use shift
3) I go to KDE and enable (or disable) the keyboard layout
4) I quit X
5) I start X again
6) then it works...
A interesting thing is that when I press Caps Lock the keyboard
led won't light. But I know the "CAPS LOCK" function is activated...
I think the keyboard driver maintainers should revise this code.
It's surely buggy.
