xf86-video-intel 2.5.0 performance questions

Thanks for quick and excellent answer - as always. This is one of many reasons
why I always exclusively buy computers with pure Intel parts inside.
Excellent products with excellent support.

I guess that is just a numbers game and thus has nothing to do with the real
performance of the card then - thanks for the insight!
One follow-up question though - with the new Intel driver (2.5.0) I get quite
a few errors in dmesg/syslog - is this expected?
