Ubuntu 10.10, X will crash upon waking up from hibernation

Hi,
I've a very annoying(and strange) problem with hibernation. I'm using
Ubuntu 10.10, 32 bit. The kernel is 2.6.35-24-generic-pae, GNOME
2.32.0.
I have 4G RAM and the swap is slightly larger than 8G.
It's been a month and the hibernation works exactly in the following pattern:
success->fail->success->fail->......
By success, I mean the machine hibernates OK and wake up exactly as
before hibernation.
By fail, I mean the machine go to sleep and when wake up, all
applications are gone and the login screen is displayed. In such
cases, X crashed upon waking up. The last lines of waking up from
/var/log/Xorg.0.log is as below. The entire log is attached to this
mail.
Will anyone help on my issue? I'm losing sleep for it since I need a
stable hibernation badly.
