xmodmap settings get lost or reset

Hello,
I'm using KDE (kde5-5.27.7.23.08.0_2.pkg) and Xorg (xorg-7.7_3.pkg), all
compiled from ports (i.e. from the sources) on FreeBSD 14.0-CURRENT.
On start of KDE a script sets keymappings to get a Spanish keyboard from
a normal German QWERTZ keyboard, as for example:
...
xmodmap -e "keycode 10 = 1 exclam exclamdown onesuperior"
xmodmap -e "keycode 20 = questiondown question backslash ssharp"
xmodmap -e "keycode 26 = e E eacute Eacute"
xmodmap -e "keycode 27 = r R EuroSign"
xmodmap -e "keycode 30 = u U uacute Uacute"
...
Magically, these settings get lost or reset from time to time, and every
day; today I've had to rerun this script at:
07:25:22 CET (boot time)
09:26:00 CET (run the script by hand again)
12:37:25 CET (run the script by hand again)
What could cause the lost/reset of the mappings?
Thanks
matthias
