Well... then I guess I must say one think... 
Xati is working well on my laptop 'till it freezes deeply (it happens shortly 
after I run KDE for example). Well, sshing from other machine you can see 
that everything is fine, gdb/strace/ltrace does not give anything, but 
screen/kbd is in deep freeze and only switchto vt1 can unfreeze it. It's 
Apple PowerBook G3/400 (Pismo)  with ATI Technologies Inc Rage Mobility M3 
AGP 2x (rev 02) on board. What can be the reason of that behaviour?
