Some additional pointers that might be helpful to you:

* KMousetool decreases the pain of using the mouse by simulating mouse clicks 
whenever you pause with the mouse at a certain point. It can also simluate 
right clicks or mouse drags.

* In the KDE control center, you can assign voice commands or mouse gestures 
to applications or keypresses. This is no real speech synthesis, but can only 
distinguish a few predefined sounds.
