Well that's the problem. Many developers would rather sacrifice their
grandmother than switching the toolkit. So for the foreseeable any
discussion about switching toolkits is pretty much useless.
Any decision for a toolkit would inevitably lead to a split. Same for the
UI. Do you expect that all projects could agree to a common UI? After all
Linux is about choice, so this isn't necessary a bad thing.
