[gst-devel] how to cleanly re-install gstreamer? Help!!

You could just use "aptitude reinstall" (I think even apt-get has a
reinstall command). That will put a new copy of the package on top of
the old one. Not sure if it purges it first, but in this case it
shouldn't matter.
