Help with transcoding h264 encoded TS on raspberry pi

As long I recode 1:1 or 1:2, the red bars don't show up with my pi - I
saw them when I tried to crop 4 px top and bottom (to get rid of the
video text line), but haven't checked since I switched to 1.2 if they
still show up.
