Both

 git clone http://cgit.freedesktop.org/~slomo/gst-sdk-tutorials/

and

 git clone git://people.freedesktop.org/~slomo/gst-sdk-tutorials

work fine for me.

The ssh:// URI won't work unless you have a freedesktop.org developer
account.
