Hi,

I've just released 0.5.8, download from 

 http://people.freedesktop.org/~david/dist/hal-0.5.8.tar.gz

and see below for details. HAL 0.5.9 is scheduled for release around
December 17, 2006. Planned features are described in doc/TODO, here's a

This release can optionally use PolicyKit git master for access control.
For 0.5.9, we plan a hard dependency on (yet unreleased) PolicyKit 0.3
or later. PolicyKit will not be optional post 0.5.8.
