No, there has been a ton of talk on Gnome in the past about using
libburn once it was stable enough for mass consumption. Leading this in
Gnome land is my Coaster project. We are hoping to convert the
nautilus-cd-burn from cdrecord to libburn as well. This would allow
most, if not all of Gnome to use libburn as the backend since most apps
use n-c-b as a backend.
