Agree

Well it makes sense to keep 'effects' if more effects are to be expected.
Regarding to 'merging' shadow with effects.. In my perception it makes sense..
However not sure if matches bug 145681, where is stated that 'effects' like
glow and soft edge, don't belong in the sidebar of Writer.

For UI consistency I would; if practical need having 'glow & soft edge' no clue
(but I have tendency to say the same about shadow). OK shadow is used for
Fontwork.
