[LightDM] Greeter and other clients cannot connect to X server

For anyone following this thread:
- Bug is https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1260220.
- We have a candidate fix which is syncing the X authority before starting
the X server.
- One person indicates this has fixed the problem for them.
- I haven't been able to reproduce locally, so this fix is just an educated
guess. If this is the correct fix it probably depends on how fast your IO
is and what sort of filesystem / storage hardware you are using.
