It's a major regret for me that I haven't been able to put more time
into i965g.  I completely agree that having a full-strength hardware
driver for a modern GPU as an example driver, reference
implementation, etc, would be a hugely valuable resource for gallium,
and that the i965 is/was a perfect platform to achieve that.  I'm open
to ideas about how to unstuck that project.
