[Openicc] Open Source compatible AdobeRGB profile

Kai-Uwe,

Please note that the "compatible with Adobe RGB (1998)" statement
pertains to profiles that are built exactly for the specific Adobe RGB
color space.
That word compatible is used when the profile is not built by Adobe.

If the RGB color space is any other color space - that is not exactly the
Adobe RGB
color space - then the profile for that color space would NOT be
compatible with
Adobe RGB.

A color space is defined by a specific combination of white point, viewing
environment,
primaries, etc. Please refer to ISO 22028-1 which specifies how to define
color spaces.
Each ICC profile is built to interpret one and only one color space.

So the phrase "AdobeRGB like colour spaces" should not be used.

When building the compatibleWithAdobeRGB.icc profile I recommend you
look into ICC Version 4 requirements for the rendering intents as these
have changed compared to ICC Version 2.

Adobe itself recommends to use "compatible with Adobe RGB (1998)" as
naming for AdobeRGB like colour spaces. This is probably due to
preparation to get this colour space adopted into standards, as
Gilles Caulier from digiKam project pointed out.
see: http://www.adobe.com/adobergb

As "compatible with Adobe RGB (1998).icc" is a bit unconventional for a
file name I would like to name the profile compatibleWithAdobeRGB.icc .
This is better recognizable and not limited to EXIF.

Gilles and others,
would you take advantage of that profile? I like to packaged it
into the Oyranos' profiles collection. Location is /usr/share/color/icc
on linux.

License can be free.
