Changing just the files needed for instrument access to GPLv2 or later
is not a problem. I'll include a script in the next source code release
that extracts the necessary files. (Probably about a week before I'll
be able to upload it to <http://www.argyllcms.com/Argyll_dev_src.zip>)

I know that's true, but there seems to be a big gap between providing
particular solutions and support to a few special customers who are prepared
to pay for it, and providing a product to the general public. I know that
animation studios have the technical expertise to do a lot of the support
work themselves, and restrict themselves to a small set of environments.
