I am a newbie. Where to start?

Hi friends,

I am a newbie for display/graphics related programming. Basically I am good
in C and has some basic knowledge on linux kernel drivers. I am
experimenting with different Linux distros for last 9 years (
http://www.karuppuswamy.com). My domain background is Storage and Flash
memories.

I am very much interested in Wayland after reading its architecture page. I
want to contribute, where can I start? Please help me.
