the ApiTrace under 3dMax2009 ?

HI,
    I have tested the apiTrace (opengl version) , when I put the opengl32.dll(from the apitrace project) in the 3dmax 2009 folder,the run 3dmax.exe(32bit),the 3dmax software was dead, so I want to whether it doesn`t work with 3dmax2009? thank you?
