At the moment I'm thinking something like putting the json files into
/usr/share/app-info/reviews (and just prefering that if it's present),
although I'm not convinced with the directory or the format at the
moment.

Yes, this is something I'm planing to do in the next year or so, I
didn't want to over specify a concrete spec at this stage as the
designers are still changing the featureset and requirements and I
want to evolve the protocol and storage to meet this demand.

Although, if anyone has any ideas on some tools to write
<autogenerated?> docs for json schema or a REST interface I'm all
ears.
