[avahi] avahi-daemon stops working after undetermined period of time

Yes - sorry - should have mentioned.

Here's a typical series from this morning.  I checked and it wasn't  
working, so I did an avahi-daemon restart.
To me, it looks normal.

and as of now (10.30) it's not working again.  There's no more avahi
related entries in the log
