Hi all,

I wrote a small Python application that resides in the system tray and
lists available services in the context menu. Users can connect service
types and events with applications/scripts using a config file, e.g., to
notify the user when a new service appears or to start a terminal with
SSH if he/she clicks on a _ssh._tcp service.

It mostly fits my needs but maybe someone else will find it useful. It
can be found here: https://github.com/anyc/avahi-tray

Currently, it works quite well except that Qt still refuses to remove
empty submenus after a service disappeared. Maybe I will check if GTK
is more suitable.

Best regards,
Mario
