[avahi] Need some description about the issue and the fix in avahi.

Hi,

I am developing an application in which I am using avahi. I am using
avahi-0.6.23 where API avahi_threaded_poll_stop is returning with -1. I am
calling avahi_threaded_poll_start API at startup time and
avahi_threaded_poll_stop, avahi_client_free API at service stop time.
Sometimes at service stop time application is getting crashes on the
following code path.

This code path is not consistent but it crashes some where in avahi ( in
thread started by avahi_threaded_poll_start). I checked the avahi fix for
this issue on this link -

I have some doubt.

1> Why this fix was done? Please provide me brief description regarding the
issue.
2> Is this issue can cause crash in code path mentioned above? Or in
anywhere in avahi thread started by avahi_threaded_poll_stop API?
