[avahi] mDNS Unicast Response Question [VU#550620]

Greetings,

We have a question regarding Avahi's behavior with mDNS unicast queries and responses.

According to an older mailing list post, <http://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/avahi/2010-November/001952.html>, Avahi seems to allow unicast queries and responses. However, we have been informed that the latest version of Avahi (v0.6.31) does not appear to give a unicast response to queries.

Do you know if this is the case? Do you know in what version number of Avahi this behavior changed?
