[avahi] mDNS Unicast Query and Response Question [VU#550620]

Greetings,

We have a question regarding Avahi's behavior with mDNS unicast queries and responses.

According to an older mailing list post, <http://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/avahi/2010-November/001952.html>, Avahi seems to allow unicast queries and responses. However, we have been informed that the latest version of Avahi (v0.6.31) does not appear to unicast respond to queries.

Do you know if this is the case? Do you know in what version number of Avahi this behavior changed?
