[Clipart] API for accessing the library

Hi there. 
Is there any API in place to access the categories/images in the open
clip art library? Would be wonderful to allow applications to plug
into it for clipart usage. I saw mention of a Google SoC project that
was meant to add this in 2005, but nothing further.
