They may have changed their minds about returning the domains. The 
re-direction message is back on compiz.org and they appear to have a new 
compiz forum shell on compiz.net. I personally have nothing at stake here but 
it seems odd to have one branch of a fork manage the community site for the 
other branch.

I'm taking a wild guess that you might be the infamous "mikedee"? I bet you 
used to poke hornet nests with a stick when you were little, didn't you. 
<grin> It looks like the project is alive and well but the community is 
rebuilding from scratch. Unfortunate, but it also provides an opportunity to 
build it they way you (collectively) want it.
