Also building on Krisitan's statement:

We currently have almost 100 plugins on git. Between the 5 of us, we
really don't have the time to maintain all of them, let alone the
official compiz plugins. If you have developed a plugin and are on
this list, please try to at least port it to compiz++, that will help
us to avoid feature regressions.
