the blue logo is basically the lgm 2007 logo.

the main reason i went away from the 2008 is, that nobody could send me 
a vector version of it (i've found it in the www directory, now).

one thing which was important to me, is to be able to use the logo  for 
other events related to libre graphics (like a booth with people from 
several of our projects) and to use it on different mediums (it's not 
easy to use the splate on letters... or make pins out of it...).


from the design part, i personally prefere simple straight lines, but if 
a majority wants the splate back, it will come back.


what i can suggest, is to go for one of the existing logos for now and 
choose the next year's (and maybe definitive?) logo before the end of 
lgm 2009.


it would also be nice, when proposing a new logo or a modification to an 
existing one, to attach an svg or a png which shows your ideas: i will 
put it in the download folder and everybody will be able to look at it.
