I think what has inspired Kamila last year from the 2007 logo were the 3
rough colored lines that were surrounding the circle. She has blended this
together to come up with the splate.

In 2007, the colored logo was also an issue with printing costs (at least,
for the t-shirt) and the black and white version was not so nice because of
the various elements. It was a bit too busy as a design to be used in only
one color. Kamila solved that issue by changing the design so she could use
only one color without loosing punch and catchyness.

I liked pretty much the 2007 and then the 2008 logos. But I know it is not
an easy task to come up with a variation every year, so it might be
interesting to stick with one logo... or maybe change just tiny bits of it,
such as the color?

I would have loved to see another variation — and maybe another color,
yes... blue? green? don't know! Purple was ok for one year! :)

Anyway, only thoughts. I don't mind really about the font but it has to
stand out, to be thick and bold enough to be used in reversed type into a
colored splate or circle. I liked pretty much the hand-made look (at least
for the surrounding lines of 2007 and the splate of 2008) of both 2007 and
2008 logos.

I realize I come up with more questions, in a way, than answers... But this
is a bit out of reach for me, as I am not a designer! :) Maybe Andy would
have something to say? Anyone else?! :)
