[CREATE] entering the LGM community (was "Reclaim your tools". A film by Jakub Szypulka)

the lab idea sounds good, especially if it's right at the start of the 
LGM. it could be more than just the main projects - every project could 
have some sort of display or presence in a kind of expo, if they wanted 
to. newcomers would then be able to find the projects that they're 
interested in & meet people connected to that project in an informal 
way. obviously this requires resources, but it could be up to each 
project to do what they want/can. the organisers would just need to 
provide tables & power cables in a large room.

> I've been thinking about two possibilities -- a "first lgm attendee desk" where people who don't know anybody yet can get coffee and an introductions to people whose interests might touch theirs. But that needs to be staffed by people who know most of the rest already :-)
