Rocking ideas! :)

Here is where we are up to so far.

(a) A pre-LGM starting May 7. Most of the participants to LGM will arrive
the week-end before. A series of workshops could be a good introduction to
LGM for many newcomers. The "lab" idea falls into that category. This is
also room wide open for various "unconference" activities, talks,
discussions, meetings. We plan to have rooms, internet access and power
bars, access to food and beer, etc.

(b) Monday activities. Yet to be determined but I have plans to organize a
couple of visits to printers, paper mill, etc.

(c) LGM activities every night starting Saturday May 7 until next Saturday,
May 14. This will go from a simple supper at the restaurant to more swingy
evenings and will include our LGM Supper as well as activities with
creators, artists, performers, etc. Free time to meet and share. More to
come along the road.

During LGM, we have access to and we will make use of a large room right in
front of the door of the main amphitheater at the Polytechnique. We will
have computers installed with (all/most) the LGM software.

Interestingly enough, it's fun to discover that in this year's organisation
I have met a fair number of people among which there are quite a few women.
These people will hopefully continue to play an active role in the LGM. They
are connected to the F/LOSS world and could probably talk at LGM. More in
the coming weeks.

All of this remains to be confirmed and yet to be finalized and organized in
details but this is the path we are on at present time. LGM 2011 is well on
its way!!!
