It's already supposed to be per-connection according to the man page I
wrote, so maybe there isn't a problem at all:

            "max_replies_per_connection" : max number of pending method
                                            replies per connection
                                            (number of 
                                           calls-in-progress)

I didn't remember that. But I haven't double checked the code.
