[PATCH] First pass at finishing the last major feature on the TODO list (RequestName)

I could be senile but I don't see any discussion about RequestName when 
I go to that link, just a one-line message about headaches and then the 
thread gets hi-jacked towards pure python implementations which you 
seemed do find unnecessary.

Not that it really matters but I was just curious about this patch and 
now I feel frustrated immensely that my good intentions to keep up with 
what happens with DBus get thwarted with seems to some evil plot to keep 
me dumb (paranoid? me? :-)
