hal and dbus documentation

Hi,

Where do I find information about things like 
hal_manager.FindDeviceByCapability and, perhaps more importantly where 
do I find out what other functions I have open to me to make use of HAL. 
In case it matters, I am coding/scripting in python. I'm hoping that 
source code and random snippets of code are not my only source of 
information as this is really frustrating.
