1.0 is basically baked.  There are some big bugs and I want to get it
working for *BSD.  There are still a couple of major bugs that need to
be fixed up before we go 1.0.  1.1 is the development branch that should
come out quickly after though it will be an unstable branch for some
time.  I figure we can back-port as necessary though I don't want to
rush things.  I would not want people targeting newer versions of D-Bus
save some special cases like PolicyKit and OLPC.

This was my thought.

If it can avoid breaking 1.0 it will be adopted much faster.

I agree getting people using these technologies soon is good but I don't
think rushing thing is prudent either.
