[patch] DBUS System Activation II

Thanks for all the review so far. Left on the todo:

* Lots of new tests for all this new code
* Scrape the output of the launcher and put it in the error message we
present to the user.

Ideas for the latter welcome. :-) Most of the code in the attached patch
you've seen before, albeit with cleanups and changes.

I'll crack on with the error reporting tomorrow, but initial feedback on
the new bits, and the general approach is welcome. If you want a srpm
uploaded, yell, and I'll do so.
