where is dbus 1.2 ?

I assumed it used inotify (on Linux) already; I think at least it's
supposed to pick up the changes using whatever mechanism the OS / kernel
provides. Regardless of the mechanism, the fact remains that it doesn't
work (on Linux, specifically Fedora and also Foresight I think, at
least). I also remember this working in 1.0.
