RFC: pending Mac OS X stuff

I hadn't heard anything on this bug since the initial comments, and I
was wondering how people feel about it's inclusion in D-Bus -- I don't
have a problem if it's gonna be a while before it's a release, but I
would like to know it's not getting forgotten.  :)

merge and not dependent on the launchd stuff:
