The default username for running the dbus-daemon is "messagebus". This is
longer than 8 characters which causes some minor problems during some
circumstanses.

In debian a number of bug reports come from usernames longer than 8 chars,
like http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=411840

In Slackware all default usernames except messagebus and haldaemon are
shorter than 8 chars.

Suggestion: Let the default username be shorter, for example msgbus. Even
though it is possible to choose a better username before compilation many
distributions install software with default settings.

regards Henrik
