extending the test suite using dbus-python

I'd like to add some more regression tests, and writing them in C is
about as fun as medieval torture.  Would anyone object to adding new
tests to dbus' test suite using dbus-python?  This would not introduce
a hard build-time dependency on python-dbus, only to execute 'make
test'.

Bear in mind that if you object - you may be signing yourself up to
write some regression tests...
