there has been no feedback here. Should we just assume no feedback is
positive and go ahead and include the patches?

Since there has been no response so far, I think that feature should be
removed from the D-Bus 1.4 list. They can try again once 1.4 has been
released.

I haven't seen any feedback on this. So this is clearly not a 1.4
feature anymore. A little bit sad, but if nobody cares then it is also
not worth it.
