root user- no X11-Session bus

Is it possible to launch a session bus --without-x compile option and having
only root user?
Post the system is up I am able to lauch the session bus but it seems
totally useless as I am not able to connect to that bus. libdus is totally
blind to that session bus.

Any comments on the usage and the way to make the libdus see that bus?
