setup.py for dbus-python or all-in-one installer

Has there been any work on either a setup.py using distutils for dbus-python or an all-in-one installer (similar to the py-GTK and GTK all-in-one installers) that installs binaries of dbus, dbus-glib and dbus-python all at once?

I am starting work on the following:
1. setup.py using distutils for dbus-python
2. cmake/cpack for dbus-python and dbus-glib (and pkg-config?)
3. and all-in-one nullsoft installer for everything in 2 + dbus, which already has cmake/cpack files.

I would hate to reduplicate efforts, and would greatly appreciate and benefit from any previous work.

My goal is to have a working dbus-python module on windows for the meldmerge project, which has been ported to windows. Unfortunately the current mingw32 based dbus-python module doesn't work with the windows version of Python 2.7 which uses MS Visual Studio 2008 Redistributable. Since pyGTK and GTK have also been ported to windows, and there are lots of GTK/Gnome apps running on windows, it only makes sense to port dbus-python too, since not all apps will use gdbus.

Thanks,
Mark Mikofski
