My dbus-daemon(1) says

       --address[=ADDRESS]
           Set the address to listen on. This option overrides the
           address configured in the configuration file.

although that documentation might be new in 1.7.x.

On <https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=66915>, Chengwei Yang
tried to document how <listen> and --address interact with providing
multiple addresses, but got confused by the plural syntax, and the
distinction between listenable and connectable addresses. Clarifications
welcome...
