PS: is it early enough to add the /opt/local/share and /opt/local/etc/xdg paths to the corresponding XDG_ variables in my login shell profile? That's ~/.cshrc in my case; maybe I should add a comparable set of lines to ~/.profile and/or ~/.bashrc ? R.
