upower battery status flashing when both AC and battery are plugged in

No, it does not: I ran

while [ 1 ]; do ls /sys/class/power_supply; sleep 0.05; done

and "BAT0" was always present.
Also, if it s a kernel bug, it is a regression: Until ~8 months ago, I had 
Kubuntu installed with an older kernel, and used HAL. There was no such 
problem back then.
